Helping out...

The Federal Emergency Management Agency's Web site purportedly lists a Pat Robertson-affiliated charity right underneath the American Red Cross under a list of suggested donation sites for those wishing to help victims of Hurricane Katrina.

If you're a fan of this site, odds are pretty good you're not a fan of Radical Cleric Robertson. (And if you're both, you're probably an emotional masochist.)

Go here for a listing of charitable groups, religious and otherwise -- broken down by which ones are likely to use your donation for real relief work and which may be more likely to use it for proselytizing people who need food and clothing more than they need to be preached to in these dark days.

And remember: Check with your place of employment to see if they'll match your donation.
